township Owned facilities closed
After many meetings and conversations with local officials, the decision has been made to take as many safety precautions as possible to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In order to keep our employees safe and 'flatten the curve' of the virus, East Pennsboro Township will be taking necessary precautions which are as follows:
- No individuals, other than employees, will be permitted into the Township Building to include the Police Station; Mary Schaner Senior/Adult Center; Library; Trash & Sewer Office; Tax Office; Codes Department and Recreation Department starting Monday March 16th and reopening March 30th. If something needs dropped off, you may utilize the Township drop box at the main entrance to the building. It will be checked every two (2) hours during normal business hours. The Township will maintain all services during normal business hours of 8:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Friday. Emergency Services will not be affected.
- By Declaration of State of Emergency, in regards to the recent COVID-19 Protection Measures, ALL East Pennsboro Township Owned Facilities, Play Equipment and Pavilions will be CLOSED until further notice. As per the CDC recommendations, this article published by the National Recreation and Park Association offers insight into staying safe and healthy outdoors in our parks during this time.
- If you need to report a crime or incident, please contact the police via phone and not in person. If officers need to take the report in person, they will respond to take the information at that time. The non-emergency phone number for law enforcement dispatch is (717) 238-9676. No non-essential functions of the police department will be scheduled at this time. This includes things such as fingerprinting, child safety seat installations, and VIN verifications.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation and will keep you updated with information as it becomes available.
