Gypsy Moth Spraying Scheduled in Township
Cumberland County Commissioners have announced that certain forested areas in the Township will be sprayed for gypsy moths, possibly in early May, depending on weather conditions. The suppression project is conducted by the State Department of Conservation and Natural Resources using aircraft to spray the insecticide. Detailed maps showing the spray areas are available online at www.ccpa.net/vector or residents can contact the County Gypsy Moth Coordinator John Bitner at 240-6539. The exact timing of the spraying is also available by calling the Bureau of Forestry Office at 352-2211.
