POLICE OFFICER
EAST PENNSBORO TOWNSHIP
CUMBERLAND COUNTY
Applications are being accepted for the position of Police Officer with the East Pennsboro Township Police Department. Population is +20,000, 12 square miles and approximately +80 miles of roads. The 2009 probationary starting salary is $47,875.66. The Township may place a new hire on a sliding salary scale and give up to 30 months of equivalent credit for prior service. The 2009 patrolman base salary is $60,991.37. Additional fringe benefits are provided.
Applicants must be a resident of Pennsylvania for at least one full year, posses a valid Pennsylvania Motor Vehicle Operator’s License, 21 years of age, have a high school diploma, or an accredited G.E.D. Certificate, in good physical condition and be able to pass a physical agility test.
All applicants are required to have Act 120 (Police Academy) Training completed by date of hire.
Civil Service Commission will administer written examination on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at 9:00 A.M. and the physical agility test will be Saturday June 6, 2009 at HACC.
Applications must be obtained in person at the East Pennsboro Township Police Department, 98 S Enola Drive, Enola PA between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. All applications must be filed with the police department no later than 4 PM on Friday, May 1, 2009. A thirty ($30.00) dollar non-refundable fee must accompany each filed application. Check should be made payable to “East Pennsboro Township.”
